Every person we meet is unique, so too is every move. It all starts with a complimentary meeting to get to know you and your home. This meeting typically lasts 1 – 2 hours. We will walk through your home and discuss what items you want to move with you. We will also explain our services and determine how we can best help you. For instance, will you have an estate sale? Are there special charities you would like to support with donations? Once we learn what services you need, we will provide you with an estimate within your budget.
Our detailed timetable will give you peace of mind from our initial meeting to your first night in your new home.
Sorting and organizing.
One of the most overwhelming parts of a move is having to go through a lifetime’s accumulation of possessions. We can help you and your family decide what goes with you, what will be given to family/friends and what can be sold or donated. We can make arrangements for items being left behind.
Developing a custom floor plan.
We provide a customized floor plan so you can visualize how your furniture will fit into your new home. Using a magnetized set of pieces on a board where you can help “move” your furniture around, or if you prefer you can use computer software on our laptop, you will decide what your new home will look like.
Coordinating move day.
We can help you and your family find and schedule a mover, we oversee the packing and moving days and we coordinate with building management at both ends of the move.
Unpacking and setting up your new home.
Sometimes you move and unpack the same day. If it’s a larger move, you may need an additional day to complete the job. Either way, we will get you unpacked and organized, hang pictures and mirrors, make the bed, and leave your home clean and neat.
Offering additional services.
During the move process, you or your family may request additional help, such as the transfer of utilities or other services not in the original contract. It’s never a problem to make changes or add services. We are here to help you, so please, never hesitate to contact us for further assistance.
How Much Will It Cost?
Every move is unique. You may have family to help you sort and pack, while others may not. The best method is to simply contact us, so we can discuss your unique needs and provide you with a customized quote.
Our primary area of focus is the Atlanta Metro area, but as members of the National Association of Move Managers (NASMM) we can coordinate with other Senior Move Managers if your move is taking you out of state.
