Kaye Ginsberg
Owner
Peace of Mind Transitions began with a conversation with her husband at the kitchen table when Kaye decided to take the plunge and start her own business. She completed training through NASMM and headed out the door. Since the founding in 2016 the business has continued to grow beyond what she initially imagined.
Kaye’s favorite part of the business is the people. She enjoys meeting clients who all have an interesting story to tell and is proud of the dedication and compassion of the entire Peace of Mind Transitions team.
When not working you can probably find Kaye on the tennis court. She also enjoys traveling with her husband and adult children. Most people don’t know that Kaye has a musical background having played the piano, flute, piccolo and bassoon.
Stephanie Smith
Director of Operations
Ever since Stephanie can remember she has loved being around the senior population. In her first real working experience as a teenage “candy striper” at a local hospital, she enjoyed hearing the stories people would tell and hearing about their families. She just felt they had so much to tell and she had so much to learn from them.
Once Stephanie learned about Peace of Mind Transitions, she knew that she wanted to become a part of this fulfilling work helping seniors during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
Stephanie’s favorite part of the job is spending time with our clients and our team. There is nothing quite like getting a big hug when the job is done. That is her absolute favorite part!
When not working Stephanie spends time with family – two of her boys live locally – and her Golden Retriever, Chance. She loves art festivals and walking the greenway as well as reading and relaxing on the beach. A little-known fact about Stephanie is that she loves well-made apocalyptic and zombie movies!
Brandi Sutley
General Manager
Brandi is an only grandchild on both sides of her family. So, hanging out with seniors was just part of her life growing up. All four of her grandparents hold a special and different place in her heart.
Last fall Brandi decided it was time to retire from her first career and pursue something that helped others. Something where she felt like she was making a difference. Kaye was one of the first people she talked with and she knew instantly there was something special about Peace of Mind Transitions.
Brandi feels what may seem like the smallest thing can make the biggest difference. A kind word, stopping to listen, a little empathy elicits the largest smiles and best hugs. To see daily the positive impact you are making in people’s lives is such a blessing. And she says the team at Peace of Mind Transitions is the kindest, most fun group of people to work with. They have quickly become her family. She finally has brothers, sisters, and cousins!
During her spare time, Brandi loves to play with her fur kids (two Scotties), travel with friends, cook, read, and work in the yard.
A fun fact about Brandi is that she has been to six out of seven continents. Antarctica is next on the list. She can’t wait to see the penguins.
Karyn Bruck
Team Lead
Peace of Mind Transitions asked her to do chair massage at an event in 2018. After learning about the company, and the services they provide, she was excited to join the team.
Karyn’s favorite part of her job is helping clients declutter and downsize. She says it’s exciting to unpack, decorate, and see the fabulous transformation of our client’s new home.
She enjoys hiking, reading, attending concerts, and volunteering in her spare time.
A fun fact about Karyn is that she loves cooking and traveling.
Lynn Corley
Team Lead
After Lynn retired, she found that she had a lot of free time on her hands. She knew that she wanted to get involved with the senior community, but wasn’t sure how or where to start.
Lynn was talking with a friend one day and she mentioned that she worked with PoMT and asked if Lynn would be interested. It sounded like the perfect opportunity and after meeting and talking with Kaye she felt like it would be the perfect opportunity for her, and it truly has been.
Lynn enjoys being around people and helping where she can. Working with Peace of Mind Transitions has given her the opportunity to meet a lot of amazing people and she enjoys hearing the stories that they have to tell. She also likes to see the delight on their faces when they come into their new homes after PoMT has gotten them all settled.
In her spare time, Lynn enjoys playing tennis, as well as traveling when she gets the opportunity. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Two of Lynn’s favorite things to do are shopping and cooking. She enjoys cooking meals and baking for friends and family and she loves to go shopping.
Barbara O’Neill
Team Lead
The bakery was sold in 2018 and Barbara’s next goal was to become a Professional Organizer. She took classes, reorganized her home several times for practice and began working with friends and a few clients. At about that time Barbara met Kaye and after lengthy discussions decided that owning another business so soon after closing another was not what she wanted. She put aside her business plans and joined the Peace of Mind Transitions team.
Barbara specifically likes working in a team environment. She states, “What is really special about our team is that everyone respects each other, get along with no drama and really enjoy working together. Moving is such a stressful time so having a fun team assisting on the move is just icing on the Peace of Mind Transitions cake”
When not helping clients move to their new homes, she enjoys organizing anything she can, gardening, exercise, baking (well maybe a little), biking, decorating, volunteering and crafting new techniques to make things work better and more efficiently.
Ellen Meier
Interior Design
Ellen loves working with children for their innocence, and seniors for their experience and story telling. She feels as though she has much to learn from both populations, however, the older generation has her full attention, as each of their needs are unique.
Ellen began with Peace of Mind Transitions when she met Kaye at a Saturday morning talk she was giving to her community. Ellen’s mother raved about her moving group years ago, and Ellen always wondered what it would be like to work for this type of organization.
Ellen has been both a commercial and residential interior designer since the 1990’s. Working with a Life Coach, she found that one of her strengths is being a helper and a people-pleaser, both personally and professionally. She feels assisting the family / client with the furniture space planning not only lets her work with a giant puzzle, but also holds a deep satisfaction that she can contribute to their sense of peace during the moving process.
Ellen is an older mom with younger boys. So, she loves any type of active playtime — with her children and with her friends.
She does all kinds of volunteer work. She is currently searching for over 200 Oxford College of Emory U. alumni classmates.
Don Smith
Supply Manager
Don normally works with kids and not seniors, but one night at dinner with two of his best friends, his wife was asked to join Peace of Mind Transitions. And, a few months later, he was asked to become the Supply Manager.
His favorite part of his job is definitely the people. Don says the team at Peace of Mind Transitions is terrific, and it’s like a family reunion every time he delivers supplies to a job. Hugs and handshakes with all the members of our packing team and the moving companies. He continues to say that the employees at our supply company, N&N Moving and Storage, have become friends and he looks forward to seeing them every week.
When Don has spare time, he love sports, walking his Golden, Chance, and spending time with the Director of Operations of Peace of Mind Transitions, his wife!
After working 33 years for IBM, Don retired and became a school bus driver in Johns Creek, in what has become an absolutely great experience for him. He says never has he received so many “God Bless You” responses in his life when he tells someone what he does! Both the students and parents he has met have created a bond and friendship that has lasted, and will last, for many years to come.
Alicia Michols
Team Lead
After being in the business world as a Product Manager, Alicia never felt that she was making a difference in the world. Last year, she was at a Christmas Party and ran into Lynn (an employee at Peace of Mind Transitions), who told her all about the company. Alicia immediately called Kaye the next day and interviewed for the job. She tells people that she finally found what she wants to do when she grows up.
Alicia’s parents are in their early 80’s and live in Florida. She tries to see them as much as possible, but it is hard. When she moves seniors, she treats them as if they are her parents or wants someone to treat her parents since she cannot be there.
Alicia LOVES making the relationship with our clients and building trust. She wants them to feel like we are family and that we have their best interest in mind. She loves the contact with the family members out of town and enjoys sending them videos and pictures of their parents in their new place to know everything is ok.
She is a mom of four children, ages 25, 23, 22, and 17. She met her husband in college at Florida State University. Her two boys also graduated from FSU.
Alicia has always been busy and enjoys taking care of others. She has two rescue dogs and a rescue kitty! She loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and she loves to organize and bake!
A fun fact about Alicia is that she loves to laugh and make others laugh. She grew up in Florida and was “Jacksonville Miss Healthy Smile” and “Miss Teen Florida.” She says that is a little embarrassing, but it’s what they did in the 80’s.
Julie Gilleland
Julie’s mother had dementia, and Julie had to move and downsize for her mother from their family home in Kansas City to an apartment and then to Atlanta to Independent Living, Assisted Living, and finally Memory Care. Julie’s mother passed away in January 2021, and in September of that year, Julie decided it was time for a career change and called Kaye. Julie loves working with the Peace of Mind Transitions team. They all have a true heart for helping aging adults through the difficult process of moving later in life and make the process so much easier for families.
Julie raised her children in the Johns Creek area and then moved to Lake Lanier in 2018. She loves to fish, garden, and spend time at the beach.
Elynn Carbone
Elynn previously owned and operated her own insurance agency. She sold health insurance to groups and individuals but later worked as a patient care advocate, enjoying a more personal relationship with her clients.
Managing senior moves is a perfect fit for Elynn. She loves working with our clients and helping to make their move as seamless as possible. Elynn’s artistic skills and passion for decorating have enabled her to create beautiful spaces for our clients. She enjoys the camaraderie of our team and our clients’ priceless smiles and hugs as they’re transitioned into their new homes.
In her spare time, Elynn can be found making jewelry, playing tennis, walking her dog, and loving to cook for her family and friends.
Kate Kittler
Kate joined Peace of Mind Transitions as an associate and fell in love with the work, her teammates, and most especially the senior clients. Kate soon realized that the company’s mission and values completely aligned with her own – helping others with compassion, respect, and having fun while you do it!
After working at Peace of Mind Transitions for a year, there was an opportunity to move into an Administrative Management role and for her to use her unique abilities of organization and communication to help support the team.
Kate is typically the first person you will “meet” – she is the welcoming voice that greets you when you call to find out more about our company and set up your first appointment. She is our “Director of First Impressions”!
When Kate is not helping keep the team organized and seniors settled in their new homes, you can find her with her family. She’s been married to her college sweetheart, Tim, for 31 years, and she is the mom of three adult, grown and flown kids… well almost. Her youngest will graduate from UGA in 2023. Go Dawgs!
Speaking of dogs, she has two of her own, Lola and Bo! She loves to cook, read, travel, and spend time with friends and family.
Fun Fact: Kate was destined to help others get moved and settled. She’s an expert! She and her husband have moved 12 times – they’ve lived in Tennessee, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and finally have settled in Roswell, Georgia!
Tara Lee
She first heard about Peace of Mind Transitions after she moved her sister-in-law’s mother into a senior living community. Two of her friends happened to be on the team that moved her. After hearing about how much easier the move was for her mom because of Peace of Mind Transitions, Tara reached out to her friend. Everything she heard about the company sounded perfect for her, and after becoming an empty nester, the time was great as well! Meeting with Kaye and talking about the company and what role she could play in helping make it successful sealed the deal!
Tara loves being part of a team and really enjoys working with clients to help make their loved one’s transition in moving much easier. She loves when the clients see their new home for the first time.
Tara loves cooking, playing tennis and pickleball, crafting, entertaining, and being with friends and family in her free time.
Christina Morana
“It’s important to take time to listen to people’s stories and respect their desire for control – especially when things seem out of control. I work with the greatest group of people who love what they do. Everyone is focused on the same goal – creating a home. I love that we work together with a smile.”
A native of upstate NY, Christina and her family moved to Atlanta 7 years ago. She teaches group fitness classes (Pilates, yoga, spin, and water aerobics) in her free time.
Kelly Rowinski
Having firsthand experience moving her grandmother to a senior community, Kelly understands the complexities of downsizing and moving from one place to another. However, she greatly admires the care and compassion of the Peace of Mind Team, who consistently deliver seamless transitions for each client.
Kelly likes working with Peace of Mind Transitions because she stands by their mission and enjoys working with such an awesome team. Outside of work, Kelly is a mother of two young boys and the wife of a military officer in the Army National Guard. Kelly enjoys sewing, gardening, volunteering, and traveling when she doesn’t have her hands full with her family.
Leslie Carney
Leslie first learned about Senior Move Management through a friend. She contacted Kaye to discover more about it. She appreciated Kaye’s values – helping folks transition thoughtfully with respect and compassion. Leslie found her dream job – decorative arts and older adults – and was soon employed. She loves her stellar coworkers and the unique strengths, skills, and humor they bring to each job – everyone is supportive and respectful of clients and coworkers! The work is physical and often gritty, but it is satisfying to see boxes turned into beauty when the day is complete.
Leslie likes to piddle and wander. In her spare time, she goes to estate sales, potter’s studios, and thrift shops. In addition, she enjoys travel, being outdoors, and having good conversations.
Little known fact: Leslie acquired her first piece of pottery at 12, spending all her allowance on a small creamer. It was glowing hot, having just come out of the kiln. She was mesmerized, and it is still one of her favorite pieces.
Amy Harris
She is very grateful that a mutual friend introduced her to Kaye and that Kaye gave her the opportunity to join the amazing Peace of Mind Transitions team in a newly created role. As Business Development Manager, Amy enjoys building relationships with Community Managers and other industry members and attending networking events.
Amy enjoys traveling with her family, volunteering with her girls, spoiling her two furry boys (a Goldendoodle and a Coton), and cheering for the Dawgs!
Emily Weaver
Emily has always loved organizing and moving. So when she had lunch with her long-time friend Kaye and heard more about Peace of Mind Transitions, she was ready to sign on! After a long sales career, Emily felt it was time to start a new chapter and focus her energies on helping others. At Peace of Mind Transitions, she could combine everything she enjoyed most – helping others, organizing/moving, and working directly with people.
Emily knows how stressful a move can be. When her family moved to Atlanta from Memphis 23 years ago, they had three days to find a house and one week to move! Her goal is to make a move very manageable for the client, putting them at ease while ensuring they are comfortable with every part of the process. Her second goal is to get to know the client, understand their needs and build a strong relationship with them so they feel as if they are among friends.
Emily and her husband Scott have two daughters along with two new son – in laws. They have an adorable rescue shih tzu named Cooper. Emily loves animals of all kinds and would rescue 20 if she could! Emily & Scott love to travel and have the goal of stepping foot on every continent.
